Las mujeres rara vez estamos a gusto con nuestros cuerpos, esa batalla eterna contra nosotras donde a diario vemos algún defecto, jamás nos vemos al espejo y nos decimos a nosotras mismas lo bellas que somos, nos la pasamos buscando en los demás elogios que, lejos de satisfacernos, nos hacen cuestionarnos más sobre su certeza.
Nos mortificamos demasiado por no llegar a los estándares de belleza que honestamente no son reales, haciéndolos ver inalcanzables. Me parece que todo es una ilusión plagada de un buen estilismo, maquillaje y photoshop. Todas podemos ser esa “top model”.
Y de ahí que traigo para ustedes esta sesión que le hice a una gran amiga y colega. Estas fotos representan muchas cosas, desde saber que todas somos hermosas, hasta el hecho de que todo es posible y que nunca, nunca, debemos de afligirnos por los estereotipos, al contrario, debemos acoger nuestra mujer interna, reconocer su belleza y dejar salir a la mejor versión de nosotras mismas.
Gaby para mi es una mujer maravilla “wonder woman” honesta y muy luchona, que estos últimos meses ha dejado salir su mejor versión, y tuve la fortuna de fotografiarla. Estoy muy feliz con el resultado y me siento muy orgullosa de ella y de estas fotos que reflejan la hermosa mujer que es por dentro y fuera.
We women rarely are fine with our bodies, you know… this never ending battle against ourselves where every single day we see imperfection, we never stand in front of the mirror and say how beautiful we are, we always seek in others compliments that instead of satisfying us, it make us wonder about how truthful are.
We mortify ourselves so hard for not complying with the beauty standards, that are unreal making them unreachable. It seems to me, everything is an illusion full of good styling, makeup and photoshop.
With all this said, I want to show you this boudoir session that I made for a great friend. These photos represent a lot of things, from the fact that everything is possible to the fact that we should never, never, suffer for these stereotypes, on the contrary, we should embrace our inner woman, acknowledge her beauty and let our best version out.
Gaby for me is “wonder woman” honest woman and a true fighter, which in these last months has let her best version out, and I was lucky to witness this. I’m very happy with the result and I’m very proud of her and these photos which reflect how beautiful this woman is inside out.
